Rules for new entries

all-opening-times is much more than a directory. It also offers you the opportunity to earn money by posting new entries. However, there are a few important rules that must be adhered to before making a new entry. Please ensure to read and follow the guidelines listed below, and feel free to ask if you have any questions.

1. No Duplicates
You are not allowed to post any entries that are already in the directory. Please check for duplicates in the entry form and/or use the search option, before posting information. Please keep in mind that different spellings, such as "Mc-Donald’s" or "McDonalds" cannot be detected as duplicates.

2. One entry per business
Even if a business offers different services or brands from different manufacturers, it may only be entered once. So, if for example a stationery shop also sells stamps and offers a lottery, it is not possible to register the business twice, as the "stamps shop" and the "lottery" shop. But it is of course helpful, to make a note of these different services in the comments section and in search terms. The only exception to this rule is in case of different opening times for different services. Let’s say a petrol station opens 24/7, but only offers beverage sales from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. In such a case, two entries are allowed.

3. Report an error instead of posting a new entry
If you discover an error in an entry, please use the "Report Error” function. We will promptly correct the error. Please do not post a replacement for the incorrect entry, because it will create considerable confusion among searchers.

4. Only store hours
Only opening hours of real life businesses are acceptable. Entries for telephone availability, accessibility via the Internet, mail or fax as well as "Appointment-only" office hours are not permitted.

5. Restricted access
Some businesses or institutions have certain restrictions and make themselves available only to a selected group of customers. For example, business or services that only offer access (or the purchase of their products) to customers over the age of 18 years. Another example is the requirement of a membership to receive certain services (eg club, association, kindergarten). Such entries are expressly permitted. Reference to restricted access must be made in the comments section, when it is not clearly apparent through the company name.

6. Location
Only shops, service providers and authorities with an established street location can be entered. Service providers or businesses with sole accessibility through telephone or a call centre, or businesses that only have an on-line presence - such as key services without a shop, or taxi companies with no established business address - cannot be posted. A complete street address is a must.

7. Entries that are not allowed
  • Mailboxes
  • Fire stations
  • Police stations
  • ATMs
  • Vending Machines
  • Photo Fix Equipment
  • Hostels
  • Apartments
  • Private accommodation

  • 8. Enquiries
If you are not sure about an entry - Inquiries can help you! Ask and we will promptly let you know what can be registered and what cannot.

    9. Correct opening times The last but most important rule: No matter what type of business, agency or service provider you enter - the opening hours must be accurate. Do not assume anything, but verify that you have the correct information. If you are unsure – Make a quick inquiry and reconfirm that the information you have is indeed correct. Variable opening hours, for example “open end”, or seasonal openings must be described in the comments section.

    Quality of the entries

    a) The company name must be included in the title. The title of "food business" is not permissible, but "Walmart (food)” is. For a more precise description of the business, please use the section in the comments field.

    b) Telephone number, fax number, and web search terms: We recommend to complete each entry as detailed as possible. Especially in regards to search terms.

    c) No abbreviations. Neither company name, nor address or location may be abbreviated. Abbreviations are only permitted, if the company name entails an abbreviation.
